Hello!
I'm Amar Batra, a senior Mathematics-Statistics major at the University of Connecticut. For the past three years (and counting) I've worked as a senior staff photographer for the Daily Campus and as a freelance visual journalist around the Mansfield area.
I was pulled into photography during my junior year of high school and haven't looked back since. My camera has taken me across the country and halfway around the world. Through my career I have been privileged to cover a variety events from student protests to Division 1 sports championships to lions in the African savanna. I enjoy creating candid imagery in order to tap into raw emotions and tell people's stories.
I have been granted the unique privilege to tell other people's stories, now I want to tell yours. Drop me a line below or on social media. Cheers and happy shooting!
